Description
The scratter is a simple but very effective machine. Just load whole apples into the stainless steel hopper and turn the handle. A bucketful of apples (about 5 kg) can be milled in around 3 and a half minutes.
This quality fruit press takes upto 12 kg of pulped fruit and yields around 5 litres (9 pints) of juice per pressing.

Very efficient service the order arrived when due and was well packed. The press worked very well but we had to cut a few more blocks to press the fruit further down as the juice was extracted. This was not a problem as we had plenty of wood offcuts we could use. The press was easy to assemble and then take apart for cleaning. The scratter worked well once we had found a piece of wood to help push the fruit down. We were juicing apples and found it worked better if the apples were quartered before putting in the scratter. The scratter was a bit awkward to clean but fortunately I had a large tray that I could sit it in so I could keep washing it through with soapy water and the tray caught the bits so they could be disposed of. One further comment about the scratter, the legs are a little flimsy, presumably to keep the weight down, but it was stable enough when using it. Overall I am very pleased with both items and they should give many years of service.
