Grapes need to be crushed, for quantity of juice, and destemmed for quality of wine. This is especially true in Britain where the stems are often still sappy and green at harvest. This manually operated machine will quickly do the job, and whilst the crushed grapes fall through into waiting vessels, the stems will come flying out the far end from the handle, into a different vessel.
